AI-Controlled Drones and Missiles: Russia and Iran

Iran has developed a retractable wing cruise missile that is AI controlled, where one missile can act as the ‘leader’ of a ‘pack’ of missiles and direct the missiles to their target(s). It is capable of switching targets as necessary. Commander of the IRGC’s Aerospace Forces, General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, said ‘we no longer produce point-to-point missiles,’ which is to say, maneuverability (i.e., MaRV-type warheads) and autonomous decision-making will be features of new Iranian missiles.

Meanwhile, Russia unveiled a strike combo where one drone (UAV) is capable of autonomous decision-making and simultaneous ‘painting’ of multiple targets, while the second drone (UCAV) strikes the ‘painted’ target(s). This was just tested in the Special Military Operation. Details on the Iranian and Russian technology are below.
