Red Sea/Yemen SITREP: USS Eisenhower Rumors

On Friday, 31 May 2024, Ansarallah claimed a direct hit on USS Eisenhower, which was in the Red Sea near Yemen protecting Israel’s economic lifelines. Since Friday, the Eisenhower and its captain have acted in a manner that suggests there is truth to the Yemeni claim.

What is claimed

The US and UK conducted another terrorist strike on the Yemeni people on Thur./Fri., 30/31 May 2024 that killed 16 and wounded 46 Yemenis. The Anglo-American terror bombings were conducted by RAF Typhoons from Akrotiri, Cyprus; and Navy jets from the Eisenhower. In response, Ansarallah claimed to have struck the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69), a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier operating in the Red Sea, with anti-ship ballistic missiles. Two hits reported.

What is known

1. The twice-daily US Navy C-2 Grumman transport that does “milk runs” (cargo deliveries) from Jeddah to Ike have ceased, suggesting that the flight deck is impaired. As of today (6 June 2024), milk runs have not resumed.

2. The captain of Ike, Christopher “Chowdah” Hill, posted a video on 3 June 2024 purporting to show an unimpaired flight deck. His video has a voice over discussing the loss by the Red Sox baseball team to the Detroit Tigers on 2 June 2024; however, the video was shown to have first aired in March 2024. It seems that “Captain Soggy Cookie is straining just a little bit hard to reassure everyone that ‘there is nothing to see here’.” The quote is from military analyst Will Schryver.

3. Ike has fled the Yemen coast (see maps). It has positioned itself in the north Red Sea, far from Yemeni missile ranges. It is not making for the Suez. Suspicion is that on-board repairs of some sort are taking place at sea (the aircraft carrier has tenders).

4. Lastly, Ike has gone into security lockdown. There are 5,000 crew on-board, and families in the U.S. are reporting that they have been unable to communicate with crew on board Ike; that regular email and voice communications are disrupted or severely limited.

We await release of video of Eisenhower from Russian, Chinese, or Iranian military sources; or Iranian ISR drones.

Operation Prosperity Guardian

Meanwhile, it is clear that Operation Prosperity Guardian is going brilliantly! Maritime traffic is down, especially for ships from countries that support the ongoing genocide in Occupied Palestine (viz., US and UK); but of course, Russian, Chinese, and Iranian ships, and ships from other nations that support the Palestinian cause and/or are not doing business with Israel, can safely navigate through the Arabian Sea and Red Sea.
