Deaths of Iranian generals in the Iran-Iraq War (1980–88) and war against ISIS (2014–18) prove that Iranian Army and IRGC generals lead from the front. Whereas U.S. generals lead from behind: Vietnam (11 KIA); Iraq (0); AFG (1: REMF, killed in the rear). On 13 June, when Israel murdered almost two dozen generals, Iranian Armed Forces swiftly re-grouped and retaliated. The Iranian military is accustomed to losing generals in action and has planned for losses.

Iran-Israel War | Day 8 SITREP
Iran FM: “no negotiations” with U.S.; Iran Prez: “unconditional end” to war; Iranians unite: millions join anti-Israel/pro-Iran rallies from Ahvaz to Mashhad; “legacy media” propaganda seeks to “manufacture consent” for U.S.-Iran War; air superiority myth (update); Iran pounds Israel.
Paean to an Alligator
I am not a combat helicopter man, being from the “boom, boom, boom, artillery” school; hence my focus on artillery and missile systems. However, I have fallen in love with Russia’s Ka-52 “Alligator.” It is clearly the finest attack helicopter in the business; far superior to the Cobra and Apache attack helicopters that witnessed action in Afghanistan and Iraq.
U.S./NATO Wunderwaffen: Failures in the Ukraine-Russia Conflict
Another U.S./NATO Wunderwaffe bites the dust. HIMARS (“High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems”) batteries were shipped by the U.S. to Ukraine with much fanfare in June 2022. By May 2024, it was clear even to the propagandists at the Washington Post and Daily Telegraph that HIMARS was “completely ineffective.” What makes HIMARS utterly useless?
Putin’s New Defense Minister
I have been unable to write due to other commitments. However, I wanted to include an update about Putin’s appointment of economist Andrey Belousov as Russia’s new defense chief, a move that has stumped western “experts.” Russia’s military-industrial complex is going to become much bigger and more efficient. I recommend a superb analysis...
Tehran’s Responses to ‘Maximum Pressure Campaign’ and ‘Bomb Iran’ Threats
Nobody likes a bully; and USA is a loud-mouthed bully. Iranians resent 125+ years of foreign interference in their affairs. Tehran has responded to USA’s ‘maximum pressure’ and ‘bomb Iran’ threats by enhancing Anti-Access/Area Denial (A2/AD) capacities. IRGC can ‘kill’ US aircraft carriers outside Persian Gulf. Iran is prepared for an ‘inevitable war.’ Washington underestimates Iranian tenacity and military technologies
Russia-Iran Military Exchanges: Part 1
A new unnamed IRGC loitering munition, similar to the Russian Lancet-3M drone, has been developed. This surface-to-surface weapon loiters for targeting information and has a maximum range of 40 km. With a warhead of 6 kg, it can be used against various targets. The IRGC model uses an electric motor, akin to the Russian model.
