My Memorial Day Weekend post consisting of a sample of clips of former CIA and U.S. Army officers voicing views about a U.S.-led war against Iran. Includes two bonus clips of prominent American conservative voices rejecting war with Iran.

Col. Lawrence Wilkerson
Wilkerson, U.S. Army (Ret.), and COS to SECSTATE Colin Powell.
Lt. Col. Daniel Davis
Davis, U.S. Army (Ret.), is famous/notorious for penning essays in Armed Forces Journal critiquing the Afghan War (“Truth, lies and Afghanistan”), which gained him “whistleblower” status; and U.S. Army generals (“Purge the generals”). His essay paralleled Lt. Col. Paul Yingling’s celebrated broadside in AFJ (2007) against U.S. Army generals, “A failure in generalship.” Recently, David was nominated by DNI Tulsi Gabbard as her Deputy DNI, but “our friends, the Israelis,” kvetched about his opposition to the Iran War, which led to the quashing of his nomination.
Fellow Conservatives
Subscribers know that I am a Reagan-Thatcher Republican/Conservative. True conservatives—not the ersatz conservatives and religious freaks running amok in the Grand Old Party (Republican Party)—oppose participation in foreign wars in which the U.S. has zero national interests.
Ronald Reagan, the Grand Old Man of the Grand Old Party, said with reference to Menachem Begin (1 Oct 1981), “It is not the business of other nations to make American foreign policy.” Israel does not have conservative support for the Iran War.
Enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend barbecues, but please do not forget why America has Memorial Day, and whose sacrifices we honor.
