US has surged men and material to the Mideast, but Trump is hesitating on escalating. There have been no attacks on Iran for two days. However, his boss is visiting the White House. Once Netanyahu disciplines his errant employee, the war will resume with great intensity. Meanwhile, Iranian media published the list of US losses of equipment over the past 15-day period.
Recent US Losses
Brig.-Gen. Mohabi, spokesmen for IRGC, provided Iranian media with a list America’s heavy losses over the past fifteen days. His list updates my SITREP of 23 July, where I showed that Iran is continuing its relentless campaign to denude its neighborhood of enemy bases.

What is the US Doing?
The majority of Iran’s strategic assets (missiles, drones, production, speed boats, men, and material) are underground and virtually untouchable. See “Iran’s Underground Military Bases” (15 June 2026). The US is out of targets. USAF has been bombing jetties, piers, maritime traffic control towers (akin to air traffic control towers), fishing boats; civilian infrastructure (bridges, tunnels, railways, power plants; and the desalination plant on Qeshm Island)—all war crimes—and scores militarily negligible targets. Most recently, USAF targeted civilian Search & Rescue helicopters (see video). Iran has been methodically engaging in counter-force strikes, while the US is engaging in counter-value strikes. This is the American “terror bombing” playbook utilized in Dresden (1945), Korean War (Sir Max Hasting’s history is recommended), Vietnam War, Iraq War I (1991), Serbia (1997), Iraq War II (2003), Libya (2011), and Syria (2014–26). Iran, however, has prepared to counter the playbook and to retaliate with force.
